Job Summary:
This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a tertiary care hospitals medical-surgical unit. The LPN will provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN manage their own patient assignments and collaborate with the healthcare team. The role requires a minimum of two years of recent hospital experience and involves working night shifts every other weekend.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN.
- Manage own patient assignments.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Perform patient assessments and document findings.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Participate in patient care planning and implementation.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (Epic).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current LPN license in New York.
- Minimum of two years of recent hospital experience within the last two years.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Experience with ventilators tracheostomies and PICC lines.
- More than two years of direct patient care experience.
Special Considerations:
- Night shift position.
- Every other weekend requirement.
- Work in a tertiary care hospital with 528 beds.
- Charting using Epic.
- Navy and white scrub colors.
Scheduling:
- 4x12-hour night shifts.
- Every other weekend rotation.
