Sentara Heart Hospital is hiring a Senior Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist in Norfolk Virginia.
Overview
The Senior Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist serves as a key member of the cardiovascular surgical team specializing in complex open-heart and vascular procedures. This role provides expert technical support during surgical interventions ensuring a sterile environment proper instrumentation and patient safety. The senior technologist mentors junior staff helps lead quality assurance efforts and collaborates closely with surgeons anesthesiologists and nursing personnel to facilitate optimal surgical outcomes.
The Senior Technologist level demonstrates expert knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy surgical instrumentation and procedural flow and serves as a preceptor primary resource and educator for new employees junior technologists and other OR disciplines. The position serves in lead role and actively collaborates with the CVOR leadership team as well as with surgeons anesthesiologists perfusionists and nursing staff to ensure safe efficient and high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process.
