Job Description

Position Highlights

  • Work location: Texas Health Cleburne 201 Walls Dr. Cleburne TX 76033

Work environment: Provide quality Team nursing care to the medical/post -surgical patient to provide support and assistance to the Registered Nurses and Staff.

Work hours: PRN As Needed 7:00 pm 7:00 am Requires a minimum of 1 shift per pay period - Rotating Weekends/Holidays

What You Need

  • Graduate of accredited vocational nursing program required.
  • LVN- Licensed Vocational Nursing License upon hire required.
  • 6 months experience as an LVN in acute care setting or the completion of an LVN residency program.
  • BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
  • 1 year experience as a bedside LVN with experience in passing medications preferred

In addition to the required qualifications a successful LVN will

  • Demonstrate ahigh degree of confidentiality positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced high stress environment.
  • Maintain a positive customer-focused attitude toward patients
  • Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
  • Have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Collaborates with team to facilitate hourly rounding and initiates action to meet patient and families need for information.

Takes action to reduce/eliminate patient risks

Collects data and reports significant findings to RN.

Safely administers medication in accordance with medication administration guidelines.

Individualizes care measures to reflect specific patient population. Performs technical procedures safely proficiently.

Demonstrates critical thinking.

Adheres to national safety goals in care delivery.

Monitors patients.
