Job Description

Weekly Pay $42.30/hour - COTA at UC Davis Health Rehabilitation Hospital

- Provide direct occupational therapy services in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting for adult and geriatric patients.
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by licensed Occupational Therapists.
- Facilitate therapy sessions to improve patient independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) instrumental ADLs (IADLs) and functional mobility.
- Instruct patients in the use of adaptive equipment and safety techniques.
- Assist patients with therapeutic activities targeting fine motor skills cognition coordination and strength.
- Accurately document treatments and patient progress using the Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to deliver consistent high-quality care.
- Manage a daily caseload of 4 5 patients within a 52-bed acute rehab unit.
- Work per diem with flexible day shifts and weekend shifts based on availability.
- Care for patients with conditions such as traumatic brain injury (TBI) spinal cord injury (SCI) and orthopedic trauma.
- Ensure compliance with state licensure requirements and uphold professional standards in therapy delivery.
