You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are looking for a skilled UI Developer (Angular) to support the design and development of a large-scale public health system modernization effort. The role involves building responsive accessible and modular user interfaces for a web-based disease surveillance application that will serve thousands of users across multiple health agencies.
The selected developer will work within an Agile team environment and be responsible for implementing UI components that support workflows such as case tracking electronic report processing and public health investigations. The system will be deployed in a state-hosted environment with strict adherence to government design accessibility security and interoperability standards.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop responsive standards-compliant UI components using Angular supporting data-heavy features such as:
Person-centric record views (cases contacts exposures)
Deduplication workflows and alerting
Dynamic forms and questionnaires
Saved searches and custom dashboards
Case communication and outreach interfaces
Implement all frontend functionality to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility requirements including support for screen readers keyboard navigation and proper semantic structure.
Integrate UI components with backend services via REST APIs including systems for authentication (MiLogin) data exchange (MPI Rhapsody) and communication (Twilio).
Build role-based user interfaces that support State employees local health departments and healthcare providers with varied access types.
Ensure compatibility across the latest two versions of Chrome Firefox Edge and Safari with full mobile responsiveness.
Support UI display of reporting tools integrated with Kibana and Tableau for analytics and visualizations.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning estimation and collaboration with design QA and integration teams.
5 years of experience in web UI development using Angular (latest stable version).
Strong command of:
HTML5 SCSS/CSS3 and TypeScript
Angular component design services routing and modular architecture
Form development including reactive and dynamic forms
Demonstrated experience implementing WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards in a production environment.
Experience integrating with REST APIs in complex role-based systems.
Familiarity with browser compatibility best practices and responsive UI design.
Experience building UIs for applications that support:
Role-based access and administrative features
Complex data interactions (search filtering faceting)
Dashboards with data visualizations or third-party embedded views
Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile delivery team involving cross-functional stakeholders including product UX QA and backend teams.
