Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team in Charlotte NC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering with hands-on experience working with legacy systems and building robust data lake pipelines. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to work on modern data infrastructure while maintaining and integrating legacy data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Legacy Pipeline (Immediate ramp-up):
SQL Liquibase SSIS TFS AutoSys
New Data Lake Pipeline (Upcoming project):
Hive Dremio Python PySpark Airflow Data Lake Architecture
Ideal Candidate Should Have:
Strong hands-on experience in some or most of the above technologies
Excellent documentation skills
Ability to read and understand compiled codebases (Java C#); ability to write in these languages is a plus
A programmers mindset to solve complex data and integration challenges
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data migration and refactoring of legacy workflows.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka Airflow or other orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
