Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

We are currently seeking a dedicated and licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join our team. Under the supervision of the facility physician the ARNP will deliver comprehensive advanced-level patient care and medical services in a correctional facility setting.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care execute physicians orders administer medications and perform physical exams and treatments.
Order evaluate and interpret diagnostic tests to identify and manage clinical issues and patient needs.
Record physical findings develop treatment plans and consult with physicians and healthcare professionals.
Recommend medications and therapies within the scope of licensure.
Monitor inpatient hospitalizations to support early releases when appropriate.
Ensure cleanliness and safety of medical equipment and work areas.
Maintain medical documentation and ensure complete confidential records.
Monitor service provision to avoid duplication and ensure quality care.
Evaluate medical services for cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
Provide health education and counseling to individuals or groups.
Respond to emergencies and administer emergency medical aid as needed.
Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws regulations and controlled substance protocols.
Participate in staff meetings and multi-disciplinary quality assurance committees.
Assist with accreditation processes (NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO).
Collaborate with facility staff contractors and external agencies to ensure effective care.
Handle legal processes related to healthcare services including documentation for lawsuits or court appearances.
Promote safety and security in all aspects of medical operations within the facility.
Accept on-call duties and work flexible schedules including rotating shifts.
Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a degree and current licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP).
Training and certification in Family Practice required.
At least one (1) year of professional nursing experience.
Valid drivers license.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to interpret medical documents communicate effectively in high-pressure environments and maintain professional conduct in challenging situations.
