Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled IR Tech for a 13-week travel contract. This position supports both inpatient and outpatient cases (50/50 split) and covers a wide range of interventional radiology procedures. Candidates must have IR-specific experience and be able to float across Swedish campuses. EPIC and Pyxis experience are highly preferred. This is an auto-offer role but candidate must pass Aya clinical screening before submission.
Note: Former permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must have a minimum 3-month separation from the health system to qualify for travel placement.
Responsibilities:Assist with a wide range of complex interventional procedures including:
Y-90 chemo delivery uterine ablations chemoembolizations GI bleeds
Biopsies drains central lines port-a-cath access vein sampling
Administer and monitor TPA blood/blood products and support procedural sedation
Handle triple lumen catheters vascular device access and Phase 2 recovery care
Maintain sterile field scrub and circulate procedures and set up interventional equipment
Work in both inpatient and outpatient settings in a fast-paced IR department
Utilize EPIC for documentation and Pyxis for medication management
Be available for call duty once weekly and one weekend every 5 6 weeks
Travel between Swedish campuses if needed
Must have at least 1 year of IR experience (2 years preferred)
Washington license required
Must pass Aya Clinical Screening for submission
Must be comfortable floating to other campuses
Must meet 30-minute call response time requirement
Former Providence perm employees must have 3 months break
Travel experience not required; first-time travelers accepted
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Experience:
Minimum 1 year IR experience required
Prefer 2 years with wide procedural exposure
Inpatient and outpatient setting familiarity preferred
License:
Active Washington State Radiologic Technologist license
No pending licenses accepted
Certifications:
Required: BLS ACLS
Preferred: Advanced IR-related certifications
