Job Description

Summary:
Seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist with a minimum of 1 year experience to support a high-volume radiology department in a community hospital setting. This role requires proficiency across multiple imaging modalities including trauma outpatient OR and mobile studies. Candidates must be licensed in California and hold current ARRT (R) BLS Fluoroscopy and CRT certifications. Familiarity with Epic charting and GE/Toshiba equipment is essential. Travel experience is not required-first-time travelers are welcome.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic x-ray imaging studies including trauma portable and fluoroscopy exams

  • Work across multiple hospital units: ER ICU NICU OR and outpatient

  • Assist with contrast studies such as upper GI series and barium enemas

  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to support accurate and timely diagnosis

  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment (GE Toshiba PACS Fuji Synapse*)

  • Start peripheral IVs for contrast studies (preferred)

  • Follow all safety and compliance protocols related to radiation and contrast use

Key Requirements:
  • Must have California Radiologic Technologist License

  • Required Certifications: ARRT (R) BLS CRT Fluoro Permit

  • Charting System: Epic Required

  • Must have 1 year of X-ray Tech experience in hospital settings

  • Experience in a community hospital is required

  • Experience with Trauma Level I preferred

  • Must be open to floating between like units as needed

  • No pending licenses accepted

  • Must include all RTO at time of submission

  • Block scheduling requests honored at managers discretion

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of recent relevant radiologic technologist experience

  • Experience in high-acuity and trauma settings preferred

License:

  • California Radiologic Technologist License Required

  • ARRT (R) Certification Required

  • CRT Required

  • Fluoroscopy Permit Required

Certifications:

  • BLS Required

  • Chest: Routine

  • Abdomen: KUB Upright Decubitus

  • Spine/Pelvis: Cervical Thoracic Lumbar Pelvis

  • Upper Extremity: Shoulder Clavicle Elbow Wrist Hand

  • Lower Extremity: Knee Tibia/Fibula Ankle Foot

  • Head: Skull Orbits

  • Mobile/Surgical: Portable chest/abdomen C-Arm procedures

  • Fluoroscopy: Barium Swallow Upper GI Contrast Enema

  • Enema Studies: Single and Air Contrast Barium (preferred)

Systems & Equipment:

  • Epic (Charting)

  • GE Toshiba (Imaging Equipment)

  • Fuji Synapse PACS

Professional Skills:

  • Administering or preparing contrast media

  • Starting peripheral IVs (preferred)

  • Patient safety and imaging quality control
