Job Summary:
This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a tertiary care hospitals medical-surgical unit. The LPN will provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN manage their own patient assignments and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Every other weekend work is required.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN.
- Manage own patient assignments.
- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out physician orders and perform therapeutic procedures.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Chart patient information using Epic.
- Participate in every other weekend rotation.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current LPN license in New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience (within the last 2 years).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (implied).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care.
- Experience with ventilators tracheostomies and PICC lines.
Special Considerations:
- 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (Days/Nights).
- Every other weekend requirement.
- Tertiary care hospital setting.
- Navy and white scrub color.
Scheduling:
- 3 twelve-hour shifts per week rotating days and nights.
- Every other weekend rotation. Specific shift assignments will be determined by the hospital.
