Job Description
Set up and lead end-to-end ship repair operations including facility development staffing and process implementation.
Manage dry docking afloat repairs machinery overhauls hull repairs electrical and outfitting systems maintenance.
Ensure timely execution of repair projects within defined quality safety and cost parameters.
Build and lead a cross-functional team of engineers technicians and support personnel.
Liaise with customers OEMs classification societies vendors and naval authorities for smooth project execution.
Maintain strict compliance with statutory environmental and safety standards.
Develop client relationships and drive business growth in the ship repair segment.
Prepare and manage annual budgets forecasts and operational reports.
Promote continuous improvement through the implementation of industry best practices and digital tools.
Education:
o Bachelors Degree in Naval Architecture Mechanical Marine or Electrical Engineering.
Certifications:
o PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred.
Experience:
o Minimum 10 years of core experience in ship repair/shipbuilding with
hands-on exposure to dry docks and afloat repairs.
o Overall professional experience of 15 years including leadership roles in
reputed shipyards or naval dockyards.
o Experience in setting up or scaling ship repair operations is a plus
Deep understanding of ship repair techniques class rules and marine systems.
Strong leadership team development and organizational skills.
Client-focused mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
Strategic and analytical thinking with an ability to manage complex operations.
Familiarity with project management tools ERP systems and cost control practices.
