Job Description: We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer / BI Developer who brings deep expertise in Business Intelligence Data Warehousing and data integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing and building scalable data pipelines developing data warehouse models and optimizing complex SQL workflows. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including Solution Architects and clients to transform business requirements into actionable data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of scalable data extraction workflows using Aeras proprietary ETL platform.
Architect and build efficient data warehouse models using columnar databases including facts dimensions and measures.
Develop optimized SQL scripts for complex data transformations and analytics.
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues across the full data lifecycle.
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end BI solutions.
Perform advanced data analysis and document technical specifications for Decision Intelligence applications.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices in data engineering and BI reporting.
Required Skills:
8 years of hands-on experience in the BI/Data Engineering domain.
Deep understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL design.
Strong SQL programming and query optimization skills.
Hands-on experience with columnar databases such as Snowflake Redshift or Vertica.
Basic Unix scripting skills and understanding of programming workflows.
Proven ability to work directly with customers and articulate technical concepts effectively.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Desired Skills:
Applied experience in Python or Java programming for data processing.
Exposure to Machine Learning (ML) techniques or R programming.
Experience handling data in JSON/XML formats and using REST APIs.
Familiarity with SAP systems.
Understanding of supply chain processes and terminology is a plus.
Nice to Have:
Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or similar.
Familiarity with data governance and quality frameworks.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP).
