Role Overview
Citi is seeking a highly skilled ETL Application Developer (AVP) with 7 8 years of hands-on experience in ETL development using tools like Ab Initio Talend or DataStage. This is a hands-on development role involving design development and production support of scalable enterprise-grade data pipelines. Youll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including QA SysAdmins DBAs and global stakeholders to ensure high-quality data delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop ETL solutions using Ab Initio Talend and/or DataStage
- Support end-to-end development lifecycle including design build unit testing and deployment
- Collaborate with other development testing and operations teams to support data delivery needs
- Maintain and enhance technical documentation including data flows metadata and data definitions
- Provide production support for ETL processes troubleshoot issues and optimize performance
- Participate in Agile development processes and ceremonies
- Work across different time zones supporting global teams
Required Qualifications
- 7 8 years of hands-on experience in ETL development using Ab Initio Talend or DataStage
- Strong knowledge of data warehouse and ETL design principles
- Advanced experience with Oracle databases and Shell scripting
- Proficient in writing and troubleshooting SQL and Unix scripts
- Strong understanding of ETL frameworks including logging and monitoring mechanisms
- Demonstrated ability to maintain documentation and metadata for data pipelines
- Prior experience in production support environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Autosys job scheduling
- Programming knowledge in Java JavaScript Python C# or Ruby
- Familiarity with Talend CVM/EOVS and Talend upgrades or patching
- Prior exposure to financial services or banking environments
- Experience in change and release management processes
