Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review a portfolio of complex tax filings including individual (1040) corporate (1120) S corporation (1120S) and partnership (1065) returns
- Lead tax planning and advisory services tailored to clients financial goals and business structures
- Supervise train and support staff and offshore preparers ensuring consistent quality and development
- Review workpapers and deliverables to ensure technical accuracy compliance and timely filing
- Handle multi-state and consolidated returns including apportionment and nexus analysis
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients managing expectations and ensuring a high standard of service
- Collaborate cross-functionally with bookkeeping payroll and advisory teams to deliver integrated client solutions
- Monitor tax law changes and provide internal and client-facing guidance
- Support client onboarding proposals and internal process improvements to enhance workflow and efficiency
Qualifications
- Active CPA license (required) or EA with comparable experience
- 5 years of experience in public accounting or tax advisory
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and multi-state tax regulations
- Proficiency with tax software such as Lacerte ProConnect or Drake
- Experience with cloud-based collaboration and document management tools
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and lead remote teams
- Excellent communication organizational and client service skills
- Experience with offshore team oversight is a plus
