Job Description
Job Title: Data Analyst
Location: Boston MA 02108
Duration: 12 Months
Summary:
We are seeking an analytical detail-oriented Data Analyst to support public health initiatives through data cleaning analysis visualization and reporting. This role will contribute to understanding and improving health system delivery by producing actionable insights from complex datasets and supporting research with literature reviews and best practice recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and analyze large health datasets using SAS Enterprise.
- Format output and prepare data visualizations and summaries for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Conduct literature reviews on best practices in health system delivery and public health interventions.
- Create and present data briefs reports and dashboards using Tableau and other tools.
- Collaborate with epidemiologists and other team members to support ongoing public health projects.
- Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders including through peer-learning sessions.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in SAS (required).
- Experience using Tableau for data visualization.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize complex data and present insights effectively.
- Background in public health epidemiology or a related field.
- Experience conducting literature reviews and interpreting scientific evidence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 3 years of relevant experience in public health or healthcare data analysis.
- Experience working with state or federal health departments or similar settings.
- Familiarity with public health surveillance or health services research.
