Job Description
Job Opportunity: Safety Manager
KAAPA is looking for a dedicated Safety Manager in Kearney to oversee safety operations across multiple facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring that all projects are executed efficiently completed on schedule and within budget while upholding high safety standards at every plant location.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead safety initiatives across multiple locations ensuring that all safety programs are reviewed and created effectively
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
- Ensure consistent implementation of safety protocols across all locations
- Develop and maintain safety programs policies and procedures
- Monitor safety performance and make adjustments as necessary to improve safety outcomes
- Prepare and present reports on safety status risks and issues to management
- Foster strong relationships with all stakeholders to facilitate smooth execution of safety initiatives
Working Hours:
- Monday - Friday: 8am - 4:30pm with additional hours required throughout the year
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health and Safety Environmental Science Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in safety management preferably in a multi-location environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
