QC Conveyors is searching for a Shipping Tech responsiblefor stocking supplies for the shipping department and preparing outbound orders for shipping.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following other duties as assigned.
- Notify the appropriate person when shipping supply inventory is getting low
- Maintain shipping department in an organized and orderly manner
- Answer the buzzer when vendors or visitors arrive
- Check items to be shipped against the supply request to confirm that quantities destination and customer information is correct
- File shipping requests appropriately when completed
- As needed perform additional shipping duties as a backup
- Prepare appropriate outbound shipping labels
- Respond to internal/external customer inquiries related to shipments
- Other duties as assigned
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Regular and prompt attendance
- Ability to function seamlessly in a team environment and promote collaboration
- Requires a high level of attention to detail and organization
- Ability to perform work following established standard operating procedures and ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of shipping proprietary applications a plus (UPS FEDEX)
- Position requires sitting walking reaching bending stooping and handling objects with hands and/or fingers talking and/or hearing and seeing
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Ability to operate a forklift a plus
- Strong knowledge of calipers gauges micrometers and other QA practices
- Must be highly attentive to detail and quality
- Must be able to read product manufacture drawings accurately measure product dimensions and use basic power tools
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Stand walk or sit for up to an eight to ten hour shift; ascend and push and pull up to 50 lbs. bend twist and reach with arms dexterity with hands and fingers to work on a computer keyboard.
