Job Description

Lamoille Union Middle School is pleased to announce an opportunity to join our team as a teacher of grade 7-8 mathematics. We are looking for a dynamic student centered math teacher who is committed to high academic standards within a middle school model and has a genuine love for working with young people. We are looking for candidates who believe in building strong relationships with students. LUMS uses a teaming model and each team works with a group of 60-70 students for both years of middle school. In addition to their own team the individual will work closely within a collaborative team of middle school math teachers coaches and interventionists. Experience with evidence based mathematics strategies workshop models formative assessments and positive behavior interventions are a priority. A 5-9 or 7-12 mathematics endorsement is required. The LNSU has an outstanding mentorship program and a supportive administrative team committed to bringing out the best in our students and building a strong learning and working culture for all.
