Job Description
Salisbury Elementary School is seeking an elementary teacher to join our team. The teacher will be working in co-teaching partnership(s) with classroom teachers at multiple grade levels to co-plan instruction and to co-teach providing direct instruction to students. We are seeking a team member who has a passion for teaching all students strong classroom management skills communicates with teams to plan instruction is dedicated to a high degree of collaboration and has exceptional organizational skills. A special education license is preferred but not required. Experience co-teaching is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will possess a philosophy that all students can learn. Working together with the classroom teacher(s) in co-teaching partnership(s) the successful candidate will: 1. Provide a rich learning environment and advocate for students. 2. Differentiate instruction for students to meet their educational behavioral and social-emotional needs. 3. Support students who have IEPs and 504s. 4. Share information and provide assistance and consultation to students and parents. 5. Be proficient in technology use especially with Google Classroom and Google Suite. 6. Work collaboratively with the co-teacher(s) to maintain consistent communication with families through emails phone calls conferences and progress reports/report cards. 7. Share information and provide assistance and consultation to students and parents. 8. Have exceptional collaboration skills. 9. Understand child development and how to support students at varying stages of development.
