Position Overview: We are seeking a Medical Director join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal care and has excellent communication skills. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload and collaborate with experienced veterinary professionals.

  • Leadership & Strategic Planning: Provide strong leadership and motivation solving problems effectively and guiding a team towards quality patient care and practice goals. Ensure compliance with federal and state standards and participate in business development.

  • Client Services & Compliance: Ensure high-quality client and personal services address client needs and complaints oversee DEA regulations for Controlled Substances and respond to pet owners concerns.

  • Team Supervision & Development: Directly supervise associates including interviewing hiring and training. Conduct monthly case reviews with associate doctors and address client medical/financial complaints

  • Mentorship & Coaching: Develop coach and manage veterinary and technical team members for quality patient care and client service. Mentor associate veterinarians on necessary technical and functional skills. Facilitate onboarding and mentorship for new hires and develop lead veterinarians to coach new associates.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree

  • Valid California veterinary license

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong surgical skills preferred
