Schedule: Flexible availability to work up to 40 hours per week during the business hours between 8:00AM - 6:30PM Monday through Friday and rotating Saturdays from 8:30AM-2:30PM to meet branch scheduling needs.
Prior financial services experience is required for this position.
Member Relationship Specialists (MRSs) at United Heritage Credit Union (UHCU) play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with our members. This position offers the opportunity to have one-on-one contact with members and assist with all their financial services needs in a universal service-orientated branch role. MRSs engage members in conversation forge strong relationships educate members about UHCU products and services close on those services and follow up to ensure service is meeting our members financial needs. Sales relationship building and follow up skills are absolutely essential to this position. A MRS is the face of our organization and actively engages with our members and the community demonstrating a commitment to UHCUs mission and vision.
As a MRS at UHCU youll get to:
- Serve as a sales leader within the branch and maintain expert knowledge of the Credit Unions products and services to enhance members financial well-being.
- Foster and maintain trusted positive relations with all contacts active members and potential members to educate clients on products and services offered by the Credit Union.
- Actively promote and sell the Credit Unions full line of financial services by profiling existing relationships for potential growth assessing member and non-member needs and offering viable alternative solutions.
- Understand sales efforts and consistently achieve assigned goals and baselines relative to branch thresholds.
- Ensure that member concerns are handled accurately and promptly.
- Maintain an organized database to track and monitor pending member items. Proactively follow-up with members to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of any issues.
- Complete account maintenance for members by verifying and updating account information such as address changes debit cards title changes ACH deposits or withdrawals and stop payments. Research and identify fraudulent activity regarding ATM/debit cards and wiring funds.
- Perform personal banking transactions including but not limited to opening personal checking savings CDs and IRA accounts deposits withdrawals and transfers.
- Maintain Credit Union and member security by obtaining and verifying appropriate documentation and identification.
- Assist members with operation of ATM/ITM machines and perform transactions outside of the machines capabilities as needed.
- Maintain accountability for funds held within the vault on a daily basis by balancing vault funds to ensure accuracy of the coin and cash dispensing machines.
- Ensure the lobby and entryways of the branch are clean tidy and well-maintained at all times.
- Assist with verifying and maintaining the marketing material for the branch. Ensure that branch supplies are in stock and replenished as needed.
- Notify managers and other branch personnel when members are waiting for service and promptly alert management when additional support is needed.
- Contribute to the achievement of branch sales goals and actively collaborate as a team member by effectively meeting task and project deadlines and providing support to team members.
- Collaborate with management to improve identifying inefficiencies streamlining processes and allocating resources appropriately.
- Adhere to and enforce established loss prevention standards including cash management password protection drawer management and dual authorization.
- Ensure compliance with the Credit Unions policies and procedures and maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable financial regulations.
What you will need to succeed:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1-3 years related experience or training. Previous financial services experience is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to anticipate customer/member needs and maintain sales-driven goals.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems in a timely manner.

- Ability to travel between other branches to accommodate temporary staffing needs as required.
