Patty Baker Humane Society Naples is accepting applications for our Donor Relations Coordinator role. The Donor Relations Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Director of Donor Engagement by assisting in donor cultivation and relationship building as well as grant prospecting and reporting. They will also serve as general support for the development and marketing team. This position plays a key role in cultivating positive donor experiences and strengthening relationships with supporters to enhance donor retention and growth.

Schedule: 40 hours per week. Generally Monday - Friday but some weekend/evening work would be required usually around events.

This is an on-site position in Naples Florida - with some work from home flexibility but you must be able to work on-site.

Responsibilities
  • Identify prospective donors and areas of interest through thorough donor research
  • Assist with donor meetings and tours
  • Conduct grant research to find new grant opportunities and assist with tracking and managing deadlines for grant and major donor reporting
  • Document constituent activities in the CRM
  • Assist in identifying donors with potential to upgrade annual giving
  • Assist in identifying potential planned giving prospects and preparing individualized materials for those prospects
  • Assist with other fundraising and development events and initiatives as requested
  • Assist in with the development and creation of the annual Impact Report
  • Assist with the annual Guardian Circle Luncheon or a similar donor recognition event
  • Support the development team in all facets of the event-planning process including but not limited to attending vendor and committee meetings taking minutes coordinating on-site volunteers picking up auction items and researching sponsorship opportunities
  • Develop a strong positive and respectful working relationship with staff volunteers and shelter companion animal residents
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required
  • Two years of experience in the nonprofit field
  • Outgoing dynamic personality
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
  • Must demonstrate excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at one time with quality and efficiency
  • Self-starter with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including volunteers donors and community members
  • Computer proficiency including fundraising CRM data entry Google suite and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Naples FL fundraising environment preferred
  • The following physical requirements are considered essential to this position:
    • The ability to hear or read lips with or without assistive devices
    • The ability to speak with or without assistive devices
    • Ability to come into brief contact with dogs cats and other small companion animals
    • Personnel in this position can expect to engage in occasional moderate physical labor including but not limited to bending stooping crouching pushing pulling and lifting as well as sitting standing for long periods of time.
