USCs Information Sciences Institute (ISI) a unit of the universitys Viterbi School of Engineering is a world leader in the research and development of advanced artificial intelligence information processing computing cybersecurity and communications technologies. ISIs 350 faculty professional staff and graduate students carry out extraordinary information sciences research at three distinct locations - Marina Del Rey CA; Arlington VA; and Waltham MA.
*This position is located in Marina del Rey CA. This is a 6-month fixed-term position. *
The Space Engineering Research Center (SERC) at ISI is looking for a Programmer Analyst I.
The type of work required is mechanical and electrical development of calibration test and verification ground test modules and sets for projects specifically related to Space applications. This would include CAD design FEM software analysis fabrication and assembly abilities supply chain assessment and identification hands on assembly abilities for mechanical systems etc. Knowledge of the space operations environment is required to validate the test and calibration modules support validation of space capable systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS:
The hourly rate range for this position is $35.10 - $40.00. When extending an offer of employment the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates work experience education/training key skills internal peer equity federal state and local laws contractual stipulations grant funding as well as external market and organizational considerations.
