Parts Counter Duties Include:
- Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
- Communicate with customers on the parts status.
- Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers.
- Ability to read and understand the parts catalog when looking up parts.
- Answers phone calls provide price quotes and other information.
- Review body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
- Pull and fills orders from stock.
- Maintain andensure the accuracy of stock.
- Notify parts managers of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
- Locates out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submits an emergency order if necessary.
- Make sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair order.
- Receives payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
- Set up orders for daily shipment delivery or pick-up.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Automotive Parts Sales experience (preferred)
- Eligible to work in the United States and provide work authorization documents.
- Required to consent to apreemploymentbackground check.
- Have experience with DealerTrack DMS (preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume.
Business Hours of Operation:
Our Service and Parts Department is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are closed on Sundays.
