Job Description

Mount Saint Joseph Academy a Roman Catholic diocesan co-educational / college preparatory high school located in Rutland Vermont seeks a full time Social Studies teacher for the 2025-2026 school year for grades 9-12. Essential Functions:Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum lectures and facilitating class discussions on various aspects of student performance through assignments tests and feedback and additional support to help students improve their understanding of historical updated with current events and how they relate to multimedia resources and technology into lessons to enhance with other teachers and staff to integrate interdisciplinary field trips and guest lectures to provide experiential learning in parent-teacher conferences and communicating student accurate records of student attendance grades and other necessary :Bachelors degree in History Education or a related field certification specific to history or social studies preferred but not with Advanced Placement (AP) history programs preferred but not in using educational technology and online learning experience teaching at the middle or high school level is preferred but not required. Strong organizational and classroom management to engage students with diverse learning knowledge of World and American communication and interpersonal to create an inclusive and respectful classroom to assess and adapt to the individual needs of for history and education coupled with a commitment to student to support the mission and vision of the Range & Benefits: Salary: $38000.00.
