UPA is a 6th-12th grade STEM career acceleration charter school opening in Fall 2025. We are building a community of educators who share a vision for career immersion leadership development and design thinking. We aim to serve Manor and the surrounding areas by providing students with opportunities to explore real-world careers while excelling academically.

Responsibilities
As a member of the UPA teaching team you will:
- Create hands-on inquiry-based lessons that inspire creativity and curiosity in students
- Lead interdisciplinary projects that integrate all core subjects
- Build strong authentic relationships with students and families to foster personal and academic growth
- Establish a positive productive classroom culture that supports learning and personal responsibility
- Engage in ongoing professional development to strengthen your practice and stay current with educational trends
- Collaborate with colleagues to create an interdisciplinary learning environment where students can excel academically and personally

Qualifications
To be successful at Unparalleled Preparatory Academy (UPA) we are looking for passionate and committed educators who meet the following criteria:
- Bachelors Degree (required); a degree in education or a related field is preferred
- Texas Teaching Certification with ESL Supplemental License or willingness to pursue certification within the first year
- Experience working with middle or high school students (preferred but not required)
- Experience with IB interdisciplinary project-based or hands-on learning (preferred)
- Deep passion for your profession
- The ability to create and maintain a positive student-centered classroom culture
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with students families and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
- A mindset of growth flexibility and openness to feedback with a desire for continuous improvement
- The ability to collaborate in a team-driven environment and contribute to the schools mission of preparing students for postsecondary success
- A deep commitment to equity diversity and inclusion in education
- Proficiency with technology and a willingness to integrate various technological tools like virtual reality into classroom activities

Starting Salary: $58000 per year based on relevant years of experience and internal compensation scale.
