The British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM) is the college empowered under the Health Professions Act to regulate the practice of all licensed practical nurses nurse practitioners registered midwives registered nurses andregistered psychiatric nurses in British Columbia. The expected starting base salary for this position is $94394 - $99113 annually depending on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience. Once hired you will progress through a wider salary range over time as you continue to develop job knowledge skills and competencies for the role.

What youll be doing
Reporting to the Chief Legal Counsel Legal & Governance (CLC) the Governance Advisor (GA) manages governance processes related to committees and supports broader governance work at BCCNM to ensure the public protection mandate is met.
The GA is responsible for acting on directions received from the CLC Governance Committee or Board as may pertain to any matter and specifically facilitating committee processes such as recruitment onboarding orientation reappointment education evaluation retention and complaints.
The GA is the primary governance contact for staff across the college designated to work with committees (committee liaisons) answering questions and providing advice connecting teams and supporting the flow of information between decision-makers. The GA is also responsible for maintaining committee governance records and providing data or reports as required.
As an integral member of the Legal & Governance team the GA provides input on internal governance practices alignment and decolonization of processes and bylaw/policy creation or reform.
