Requirements

The Project Controller will be responsible for all elements of project control within the organization. The project controller works closely with stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time within budget and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. In close coordination with Finance Operations and the Program Management Office the Project Controller will support project setup project planning forecasting invoicing and risk management processes. The project controller is responsible for monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of projects.


Responsibilities

  • Reconcile actual versus budgeted costs monthly utilizing Deltek Costpoint; investigate and explain variances.
  • Track labor and subcontractor hours and expenses.
  • Prepare and distribute financial and administrative reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure adequate funding availability and support timely requests for additional funding requests to the customer.
  • Prepare and submit accurate timely and compliant customer invoices.
  • Track and analyze project costs revenue margins and cost/schedule variances.
  • Communicate project financial and operational performance to project managers and senior leadership.
  • Prepare vendor and subcontractor purchase requisitions.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate financial or operational project risks.
  • Support internal and external project audits and compliance reviews.
  • Provide financial guidance and training to project managers and team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance accounting or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project control or financial management for CPFF federal contracts
  • Demonstrated experience with projects planning and business intelligence modules within Deltek Costpoint
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables VLOOKUP and conditional formatting.
  • Experience supporting a variety of contract types including CPFF T&M and FFP.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
  • Collaborative flexible and knowledgeable of cross-functional Finance and Operations roles and processes.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
