Job Overview
We are seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Technical Support Engineer to join our global team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting our web and email infrastructure ensuring seamless operation security and reliability. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced cross-continental environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
DNS and Domain Management:
- Manage and configure DNS settings across various platforms with a strong emphasis on Cloudflare.
- Handle domain registrations renewals and transfers using registrar accounts like GoDaddy Hostinger and others.
- Troubleshoot DNS propagation issues and ensure optimal configuration for performance and security.
Web Security and Performance:
- Implement manage and troubleshoot SSL/TLS certificates to enforce HTTPS across all web properties.
- Configure and maintain web application firewall (WAF) rules and other security settings within Cloudflare.
- Monitor website uptime performance and security responding to incidents and alerts promptly.
Email Infrastructure and Deliverability:
- Manage email forwarding and routing services with specific expertise in ImprovMX.
- Possess a strong know-how of email deliverability including troubleshooting issues related to SPF DKIM DMARC and blacklists.
- Ensure reliable email delivery and resolve any sending or receiving issues for internal and external users.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as a primary technical point of contact for web and email-related inquiries.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a strong hold on English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Be ready to work in a hybrid India-US environment collaborating with team members across different time zones.
Required Skills
- Cloud & DNS: Proven experience with Cloudflares suite of tools (DNS WAF SSL/TLS Caching).
- Domain Registrars: Familiarity with managing domains on platforms such as GoDaddy Hostinger and other major registrars.
- Web Fundamentals: Solid understanding of core web technologies including DNS SSL and HTTPS.
- Security: Basic know-how of firewall concepts and web security best practices.
- Email Systems: Demonstrable knowledge of email delivery know-how and experience with email forwarding services like ImprovMX.
- Communication: Exceptional English communication skills (both written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- 2 years of experience in a similar role (e.g. Technical Support Web Administrator Systems Engineer).
- Experience in scripting or automation for routine tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
- A customer-centric approach to problem-solving.
Shift Timing & Location
- This is a remote position based in India & 5 days of work
- The role requires flexibility to work during hours that overlap with US time zones (typically evening and night hours in India) to facilitate team collaboration.
- You will be part of a dynamic supportive and globally distributed team.
Education
- Graduate from any stream (mandatory).
