Job Description

Description

The faculty position involves administrative academic service and scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of the Program School and Institution. Faculty are responsible for developing learning content executing that content and evaluating student performance in the didactic curriculum. In addition to teaching responsibilities faculty are expected to engage in research and other scholarly activities clinical practice and professional activities.



Qualifications

Effective 2012 a PhD or academic doctoral degree equivalent (EdD DSc) or DPT with additional evidence of content expertise is required.

Additional Qualifications

Membership in professional organization(s) with evidence of involvement at the local state and/or national levels is preferred. A record of scholarly productivity (peer reviewed publications peer reviewed presentations) is preferred. Prior teaching experience in a physical therapist education program is preferred. Licensure as a physical therapist with three years clinical experience and/or ABPTS specialty certification is preferred. Licensure or eligibility for physical therapy licensure in Minnesota is preferred.
