Job Summary:The Technology and Distance Education Coordinator develops and administers academic credit programs delivered by the School of Social Work at the undergraduate (BSW) and graduate (MSW & DSW) levels online.
Additional Department Summary:Coordinates the development implementation and continuous improvement of all School of Social Work (SSW) distance education courses as well as the leadership and development for SSW faculty and staff in the use of technology. Advises on distance education marketing research and strategic promotional activities supports special projects and ensures alignment with institutional goals and accreditation standards. Provides technical and applications support for all computer-related functions in the School.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in instructional technology education social work or a related field. At least three (3) years of experience in online education instructional design or faculty development. Proficiency with LMS platforms (e.g. Blackboard) and educational technologies.
Skills and Knowledge:Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Knowledge of instructional design models and online pedagogy. Ability to analyze data and apply findings to improve programs. Technical troubleshooting and support skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated success in managing online program development. Familiarity with digital marketing and student recruitment strategies. Experience promoting accessible learning through universal design and digital accessibility principles. Experience with CSWE accreditation and social work education.
