Williams College a Division III institution and member of the New England Small College Athletics Conference (NESCAC) is seeking applicants for a full-time crew coach for the Womens Crew Team. This is a 40 hour per week 10-month position with a full meal plan and a benefit package spread over 12 months and also provides full tuition-remission of graduate school after six months of employment.
Our brand new state of the art boathouse was completed in September of 2024 on Onota Lake. The ideal candidate will have experience with NCAA rules and regulations have a keen ability to coach and mentor all ability levels including novices while understanding the rigors of the academic demands at Williams College. In addition a successful candidate will assist in the development and execution of daily weekly and seasonal training plans collaborate with our support staff and promote an inclusive culture within the rowing team and a positive environment that encourages student-athletes to strive for academic and athletic excellence.

Responsibilities:
Teach novices and varsity athletes rowing technique and analyze video to identify areas needed for improvement
Independently run on land and on water practices
Lead recruiting efforts for potential student-athletes including but not limited to correspondence talent assessment and scheduling on-campus visits
Assist the Head Coach with team related duties as needed/assigned
Assist in preparing and planning home race operations and travel race plans
Support coaching staff with team meetings and other administrative duties
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
At least 2 years of coaching experience or equivalent competitive collegiate rowing experience is required
Commitment to the student-athlete passion for the sport attention to detail excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated with the ability to recruit teach and coach highly talented scholar-athletes who can succeed in a challenging academic environment
Valid Drivers License required
Successful completion of Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check is a condition of employment in order to be able to drive college vehicles and/or transport students.
