Teacher - After School - Weston MA school year 2025 - June 2026Overview:2025-2026 School Year is near! Join our team at the Childrens Center of Weston (CCW) as a School Teacher - in the after school hours and make a positive impact on the lives of students. We are seeking passionate individuals with experience in education and a dedication to fostering a supportive learning environment and building Childrens Center of Weston an after-school program in Weston MA is hiring! The position is for educators experienced working with children in grades K 5th grade. A great part time fit for afternoon teaching hours or as a second position to make a full day of teaching! We are looking for motivated energetic creative experienced active reliable qualified teachers/educators with great work ethic for the upcoming school year 2025-2026. We hope you will join us!The Childrens Center of Weston is private non-profit after school program for grades K-5 located within the public schools. CCW has been providing quality after school programming since 1974 and was started by a group of parents needing care for their children. Since that time the Childrens Center of Weston is a community that continues to develop character traits such as kindness compassion thoughtfulness integrity caring individuality and empathy. The mission of the Childrens Center of Weston is dynamic learning through play and providing a safe place for children to learn and grow. Celebrating 50 years this year!Dates: September 2nd- June 18th (or last day of school)Salary commensurate with experience and education; based on $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. Additional hours available at various times throughout the school year at hourly : 1:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. M-F; First Wednesday of each month 11 a.m. - 6 :- Supervise and engage students in educational activities- Implement create and maintain educational programs routines and activities- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning atmosphere- Engage in outdoor and gym play and art activities creative play and homework support- Collaborate with team to support student development and communicate with parents- Incorporate creative team goals to enhance learning experiences working as a teamRequirements:- Possess a Bachelors degree in Education or enrolled in related field (preferred)-Experience in early childhood education or working with school-aged children- Great team member providing great leadership- Proficiency in great work ethic and community building- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students parents and teachers- Adapt strategies while planning with the team to engage and meet diverse learning-Must be able to be active and engaged with children lift light weight (small chairs desks tables boxes) and be able to perform the job duties/responsibilities.- Certification in First Aid and CPR is nice to have and also providedBenefits:- Competitive salary based on experience and education- Opportunities for professional development and growth- Supportive dynamic team environment- Health benefit stipend (taxed) in two equal amounts of $500.00 in January and June (when working 12 regular hours per week for full year may be used to offset health expenses or towards other personal expenses)- Retirement savings plan with employer match after Simple IRA 3% match after 1 year employment-Year end or holiday bonus-Team meeting lunches and dinners- Paid vacation and sick days-First Aid and CPR TrainingAdded details:Additional hours are available at various times throughout the school year at hourly you a dynamic and caring teacher who would like you to join our team We work together to develop long term friendships in the community and focus on social emotional learning (SEL) teach social skills and important life skills through continued learning and play.
