Job Summary: Planning organizing directing and coordinating administration and operations of the Laradon School program.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Exercise leadership and direction of day-to-day operations of Laradon School
Supervise and manage staff.
Ensure ongoing compliance with Colorado Department of Human Services Office of Child Care Licensing Colorado Department of Education.
Lead transdisciplinary teams for integrated and collaborative behavioral health care and education.
Provides leadership for the development and implementation of programmatic and curricular coordination.
Maintain proper staffing levels with well-qualified people by training support and retaining staff.
Control and coordinate the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
Develop implement monitor and control budgets.
Collaborate cooperate and coordinate effectively with counterparts peers and staff at Laradon.
Review participant incident reports and follow-up as necessary.
Collect and analyze date to help staff improve effectiveness and efficiency of programs.
Monitor and evaluate qualitative and quantitative effectiveness and efficiency programs.
Ensure that recordkeeping and information systems pertaining to programs are well organized accurate and well maintained.
Ensure that policies practices and procedures are in compliance with the general operating philosophy of Laradon as well as guidelines promulgated through funding and oversight agencies including CDHS.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Coordinate all admissions and discharges into the programs.
As Laradon is a small employer and employees work in a collaborative team environment employee must be physically present in the office to perform the different job functions.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum TrainingRequirements:
Requires on-going training and development in childrensservices function.
Must ensure current knowledge of all childrens services trends and legal requirements
Attend all training deemed mandatory by Laradon.
Minimum PositionRequirements:
Masters degree in Education behavioral science or closelyrelated field of study or enrolled in Masters Program
Minimum of five years experience in Special Education Behavioral Health or a related field with three years of which was at a management or supervisory level.
Colorado Department of Education Special Education Directors License preferred.
Excellent communication skills and leadership skill including the ability to build teams.
Experience working with students who are dually diagnosed with a developmental disability and psychiatric behavioral disorder.
Knowledge of administration principles and methods of special educational and applied behavioral analysis and trauma informed service models.
Valid driving license good driving record and reliable transportation
Physical requirements include ability to utilize a variety of physical education equipment; ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally; and physical condition sufficient to enable walking; standing; sitting; using hands to finger handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl; talk or hear; vision including close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception ability to adjust focus; speak to convey or exchange information including giving instructions assignments and/or directions.
