Job Description
Were looking for a motivated Health & Safety Professional to join our small close-knit team of six at our Gaydon facility. This is more than a compliance roleits your opportunity to shape a culture influence outcomes and make safety meaningful across every function of the business.
Youll work on-site full time reporting directly to the Senior Health and Safety Manger with occasional travel and flexibility for working outside core hours. If you thrive on variety autonomy and real accountability we want to hear from you!
What Youll Be Doing
- Develop review and implement health and safety policies and procedures tailored to our operational needs.
- Lead risk assessments and create practical preventative solutions.
- Champion safety on the shop floorvisible approachable and ready with guidance.
- Conduct inspections lead audits and drive continuous improvement in safety practices.
- Collaborate daily with R&D Production Facilities and teams across all levels of the business.
- Manage relationships with contractors local authorities and the HSE.
- Support the safe installation of equipment and contractor compliance.
- Lead safety committee involvement and provide technical guidance on legislation and procedures.
- Analyse incidents report insights and implement preventative measures.
- Communicate safety updates through reports newsletters and bulletins.
- Keep all documentation up to date and compliant with current regulations.

What Were Looking For
- Proven experience in a health and safety role within manufacturing or another high-risk setting.
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE law with the ability to apply it practically and confidently.
- Outstanding communicationclear calm honest and engaging with all levels.
- Ability to manage priorities independently and handle a dynamic varied workload.
- A trustworthy dependable team player who inspires confidence across the organisation.
- Someone who works with integrity earns respect and is always ready to listen and support.
- A true collaboratorcomfortable advising influencing and leading when needed.
- NEBOSH general certificate
