Lead Structural Engineer
Edmonton AB Full-Time On-Site Compensation: $120000 $140000 (based on experience level)
About the Opportunity
A well-established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to join their Edmonton office. This is a fully on-site role ideal for someone with either senior-level experience or someone looking to take the next step into leadership.
Youll be joining a collaborative and experienced team working on a mix of commercial and industrial building projects and playing a key role in technical delivery team support and client coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural design and analysis for commercial and industrial projects across Alberta
- Oversee project lifecycle from initial concept through to completion ensuring quality and code compliance
- Collaborate with clients architects contractors and internal design teams
- Review and stamp engineering drawings and reports as required
- Mentor and support junior engineers and designers
- Participate in project planning resourcing and technical reviews
Qualifications
- 8-10 years of structural engineering experience in the building consulting industry
- designation in Alberta (or eligibility to register)
- Experience working on commercial and/or industrial structural projects
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Building Codes standards and industry practices
- Proficient in structural design software and modeling tools
- Strong leadership project management and communication skills
Compensation
- $140000 for senior-level professionals with extensive experienc
- $120000 for candidates looking to step into a leadership role and grow into the position
