You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking a talented individual to join our Construction & Surety team at Marsh. This role will be based in Toronto. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Associate Client Executive
What can you expect
The Associate Client Executive acts as the manager of all service components for the client. The role includes a mix of existing client management business development and product development. You will manage the client and Marsh service team expectations in terms of direction and monitoring of program design surety placements related services and expanded service development.
We will count on you to:
Provide business development in Contract Surety / Complex Commercial Surety for the National Surety Practice
Develop / assist with development of initiatives to increase Contract Surety Commercial Surety and Construction Industry Revenues
Act as a broker and risk advisor for existing Marsh Surety Clients. Responsible for marketing and negotiating client/prospects surety facilities
Participate / lead in surety product innovation marketing and overall strategy
Effectively work in partnership within the surety team to manage clients surety requirements
Effectively manage client-facing responsibilities to meet surety/client deliverables
Generate new sales through existing clients and client referrals
Actively engage with industry associations to increase brand and product awareness and increase profile within the industry
Conduct full contract reviews providing feedback and recognize surety requirements to assist in client/prospect strategic requirements
Conduct stewardship meetings with client participation. Provides direction coaching and mentoring to Client Representatives with feedback on performance
Manage internal revenue profitability and timely billing and collection (working capital) for each client
Develop a working relationship with all functions within the company to improve client service and increase cross-selling opportunities
Engage with MMCs network of resources to enhance productivity and economic benefits to both Marsh and the client
Comply with Marsh Excellence and Professional Standards to ensure quality service to all clients
Liaise closely with insurance colleagues on a regular and consistent basis
What you need to have:
Hold appropriate broker license or is committed to secure licensing within six months of start date
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
Strong organizational skills in prioritizing work multi-tasking and consistently meeting deadlines
Effective team player who is proactive in solving client needs and has a sense of urgency in all client matters
Computer literate with proficiency in email spreadsheet software as well as in-house proprietary financial and sales-reporting systems

Strong skillset in evaluating financial statements work on hand overall comfort with surety financial analysis
Develops client relationships with Owner / Economic Buyer / Risk Manager; comfortable and adept at interacting with C-suite individuals
