Job Description

Location: Brisbane

About the role:

The National Yard Maintenance Planner is an exciting new opportunity to establish develop and manage safe compliant and efficient planning and scheduling processes. This role is key to achieving business objectives and driving optimal performance across the organisation.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Lead review of existing systems and processes streamlining where possible and aligning to other internal systems or external best practices
  • Develop short to medium-term maintenance plans that align with Aurizons infrastructure standards while supporting efficient maintenance delivery and business needs
  • Ensure all rail infrastructure maintenance plans for each business unit are scheduled and completed on time following the approved system process.
  • Convert the scheduled rail infrastructure maintenance plans into a detailed inventory demand plan where applicable ensuring rail infrastructure inventory levels can meet the demand.
  • Work with teams to implement rules processes and systems to support planned maintenance.
  • Lead and collaborate with teams to achieve business goals.
  • Ensure clear communication across teams and repair providers ensuring everyone follows the same maintenance plan.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure short & long-term rail infrastructure maintenance plans align with business goals considering future capacity needs

About you:

  • Experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Experience in Maintenance Systems Excel and SAP (mandatory).
  • Planning experience in scheduling and project management is preferred.
  • Hold an open C Class Drivers Licence.
