Who We Are Seeking: A self-motivated customer-service focused ethical professional Advocate/Driver to provide client advocacy and safe and reliable transportation to and from medical dental vision behavioral health appointments and non-emergent outreach activities along some of the most scenic road systems throughout the Matanuska-Susitna Valley and Anchorage.

Qualifications Education & Experience:

  • At least 6 months of experience driving in all weather conditions.
  • Excellent interpersonal customer service and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong problem-solving analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to function well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products and the ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • Must be agile and able to lift 50 lbs. at a time on occasion.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. are required.

Certificates and Licenses: A valid Alaska Drivers license and the ability to be insured on CVTCs vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position. Must be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.

Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check: This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.

Hiring Preferences: As allowed in P.L. 93-638 preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples. CVTC also applies family and local hiring preferences.
