About the role
The Housing Support Case Worker provides intensive case management education and practical support to participants of CatholicCare NTs Housing Support program. This role focusses on a stepped model of care assisting individuals in Transitional Housing as well as those requiring Tenancy Support in Public Housing. Using a person-centred and coordinated approach. the Case Worker ensures that participants receive tailored based on their individual needs.
What we are looking for
- Relevant qualification in social work or community services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to engage with and manage complex situations involving homelessness poverty mental health family violence alcohol and other drug misuse
- Demonstrated cultural competency particularly in working with Indigenous people
- Strong written communication skills including letters of advocacy /support and case note writing
