Job Duties
SWVMHI in Marion VA is recruiting for a LPN - AM shift for Geriatrics Ward E/F to join its talented and dedicated Nursing Service Team.
Working at Least Every Other Weekend Shift Differentials and Weekend/Holiday Supplements Available
LPNs assist in providing nursing care to individuals served by:
Using the Nursing Process to implement and evaluate nursing care delivery as reflected on the Nursing Care Plan part of the individuals Interdisciplinary Treatment Plan
Creating healthy interpersonal interactions with individuals on adult acute admission units
geriatric unit and extended rehabilitation service unit
Maintaining accountability in a safe secure and therapeutic environment for individuals
Administering medications providing treatments assisting with activities and education and other direct care services
Documenting in the Electronic Health Record regarding observations communications
education interventions treatments responses and behaviors
Under supervision of RN overseeing care given by the Psychiatric Care Technicians
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Virginia prior to beginning role.
Additional Considerations
* Experience working in a psychiatric healthcare facility acute care long-term care or
correctional setting is preferred.
