About Black Desert Resort:
Black Desert Resort is a $2 billion luxury golf resort based in Ivins Utah consisting of over 500 hotel rooms in the Resort Center over 1000 condo units and nearly 100 real estate lots. Additionally Black Desert will include a water park five restaurants with a variety for everyone and other highly-rated amenities for our owners and guests and community members.
Designed by Tom Weiskopf the Black Desert golf course is a championship-level course that currently plays host to the Black Desert Championship PGA Tour event in the fall-season and the Black Desert Championship LPGA Tour Event in the spring-season.
Job Summary:
Reef and our construction team at Black Desert Resort are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Management Intern to join our team. This intern will gain hands-on experience in construction management by assisting with site observation project supervision planning and scheduling. This role offers a valuable opportunity to work closely with project managers superintendents and field personnel on real-world construction projects.
Preference will be given to candidates who are able to complete the full duration of the internship through December.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with daily site observations including documentation of construction progress safety compliance and quality control.
- Support project supervision by coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers ensuring work aligns with project plans and timelines.
- Aid in the development and maintenance of project schedules tracking milestones and helping to identify potential delays or issues.
- Participate in planning meetings helping to coordinate materials equipment and labor.
- Prepare and maintain daily reports photographs and other site records.
- Assist in reviewing drawings specifications and change orders.
- Help ensure job site safety and adherence to company safety protocols.
- Provide administrative support to the project team as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering Architecture or a related field.
- Strong interest in construction and project management.
- Basic understanding of construction methods materials and safety practices.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project Primavera) is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook).
- Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on-site in varying weather and construction conditions.
