This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned architect ready to take the next step into firm leadership at the Associate or emerging Principal level. About the Role
Were looking for a Registered Architect with a strong background in delivering commercial projects ideally with at least 10 years of experience. This is a leadership-track opportunity suited for someone interested in expanding their responsibilities mentoring others and contributing to strategic growth and business development.
Youll step into a high-impact role where you can influence project direction support operations and help shape the studios ongoing success.
Key Responsibilities
Lead project design and development creating functional and sustainable solutions that align with client needs and community goals
Oversee commercial projects from concept to completion ensuring quality code compliance and timely delivery
Collaborate with internal and external teams including engineers interior designers and contractors to deliver fully integrated design solutions
Act as Architect of Record with the ability to sign and seal drawings
Cultivate strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Mentor junior staff and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and collaboration
Support internal operations firm planning and participate in business development across BC and beyond
Qualifications
AIBC Registered Architect (or eligible for registration in BC)
10 years of relevant experience in architectural design and project delivery
Proven portfolio in institutional (K12 post-secondary healthcare) and/or commercial work
Proficient in Revit AutoCAD SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of BCBC VBBL and local permitting processes
Strong communication coordination and leadership skills
Passion for mentoring and developing emerging professionals
Business development mindset & experience withinterest in firm growth initiatives
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
