The Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a motivated individual to perform full administrative secretarial functions of a responsible and confidential nature for the Complex Warden at the Arizona State Prison Complex Phoenix.

- Composes correspondence and replies to correspondence on routine matters
- Computer usage
- Compiles and prepares weekly and monthly reports
- Updates department policy manual
- Types meeting minutes
- Completes special projects
- Timekeeping
- Creates organizes and maintains confidential/administrative files
- Logs tracks copies and forwards responses for correspondence and documentation
- Responsible for maintaining files
- Collects and distributes all incoming and outgoing staff/department mail
- Answers screens and refers call appropriately
- Coordinates special events meetings and fundraising events
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment
Knowledge of:
- Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Personnel Rules and ADCRR policies and procedures
- Written and verbal communication
- Grammatical formatting using concise specific and grammatically correct non-technical language
- Computer usage and various software programs (Spreadsheet software Microsoft Office and Google Suite)
- Techniques in screening incoming calls visitors and telephone calls
- Working in managing a budget

- Prefer two (2) years of professional office experience and proficiency in Google Suite/Google workspace Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and e-mail.
Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation and drug test.
In an effort to maintain a safe environment all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.
If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current valid class-appropriate drivers license complete all required training and successfully pass all necessary drivers license record checks. The license must be current unexpired and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to drivers license record checks must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R.11).

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).
