Job Description
Compensation: $55k-$60k
Location: Orlando Florida
About The Job:
Lakeside HR Group has been engaged by our client to recruit for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. Our client is a respected subcontractor in the commercial construction industry specializing in acoustical ceilings and drywall systems. This position is ideal for an organized detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting and wants to gain experience in construction accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices and subcontractor pay applications with accuracy and attention to deadlines
- Distribute payments and track the collection of lien waivers
- Assist with maintaining the Funding Report to help plan timely payments
- Support internal project teams by ensuring invoices align with project schedules
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to resolve payment discrepancies or missing documentation
- Help prepare documentation for month-end closing audits and special projects
- Ensure all AP processes follow internal policies contracts and accounting standards
- Maintain organized electronic and paper records of transactions
- Previous experience in accounts payable or general accounting (construction or subcontracting experience is a plus)
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar AP/accounting software preferred
- Basic understanding of lien waivers and subcontractor billing processes is a plus
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
