Role Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced critical care services to patients in the ICU setting.
- Perform thorough clinical assessments and diagnostics.
- Manage the care of critically ill patients ensuring optimal treatment protocols.
- Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient management.
- Implement evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and residents.
- Conduct regular rounds and documentation of patient progress.
- Participate in critical decision-making especially in emergency situations.
- Administer advanced life support and life-saving interventions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment plans.
- Participate in educational training and workshops for staff development.
- Engage in research and continuous professional development activities.
- Contribute to quality assurance initiatives within the ICU.
- Support hospital management in strategic planning and improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Medicine or ICU management.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an ICU setting.
- Strong understanding of critical care protocols and procedures.
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in advanced medical technologies and equipment.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care.
- Ability to lead a team effectively.
- Familiarity with hospital regulations and healthcare standards.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties as required.
- Evidence of continuous professional development activities.
- Membership in relevant medical boards or associations.
- Certification in advanced life support (ACLS BLS).
