Durabuilt Windows & Doors Inc. is seeking to hire buyer – purchaser to join the team atStreet Edmonton AB T5S 1R7. The candidate must be willing to join a team environment to strengthen and grow the current crew with a positive attitude and character.
We offer:
- Wage: $36.54 per hour
- Hours per week: 30 hours per week
- Vacancy: 1
Terms of employment:
- Full time permanent position
- Job start date: as soon as possible
- Employment conditions: Day Morning

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess business needs to determine appropriate specifications for purchases
- Create comprehensive specifications for equipment materials and supplies
- Review and analyze supplier quotations to select the most suitable options
- Evaluate and negotiate offers and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Procure general and specialized equipment materials and business services as per business needs
- Ensure compliance with company policies and budget requirements
- Establish and maintain effective communication with suppliers for ongoing procurement needs
- Monitor order and delivery schedules; proactively resolve delays shortages or quality issues with suppliers
- Track and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely fulfillment of orders
- Communicate with clients and suppliers to identify and resolve issues related to procurement and delivery
- Maintain accurate records of purchases pricing and other important data
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations and develop improvement plans
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
- Prepare reports on procurement activities costs and supplier performance for management review
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be able to communicate in English
- College CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently; Work under pressure; Tight deadlines; Attention to detail; Large caseload
