Job Description
The Hilton Chicago team is currently Hiring a Housekeeping Houseperson to join their team!
What will I be doing
As a Houseperson you would be responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated areas of the hotel and responding to guest requests in the hotels continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Clean designated areas including but not limited to cleaning public restrooms corridors lobby areas and other public spaces in the hotel
- Perform tasks including but not limited to dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures vacuuming mopping sweeping washing windows cleaning/waxing floors and removing and disposing of trash.
- Greet guests in a friendly manner
- Report maintenance deficiencies and items in need of repair
- Stock and maintain supply rooms as needed
- Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (for example: mattress flipping furniture moves etc.) as needed
- Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms as needed
Pay Rate
The hourly rate upon hire is $19.43. After completion of 90 days of employment the rate will increase to $22.02. After completion of 1 year of employment the rate will increase to $25.90 or the applicable union rate at the time.
