Job Description

Applied Materials is seeking a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt to lead enterprise-wide improvement initiatives across a globally matrixed and cross functional business. Key areas of focus may include driving improvements to maximize customer value with our innovation product development and process development processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead projects within and across global businesses to reduce waste and maximize customer value.

Help develop and foster a culture of LSS throughout the organization by applying critical problem solving using LSS methodology.

Understand data trends and drive quantified results by using analytical methods and systems.

Facilitate groups using process mapping root cause analysis and statistical tools as applicable.

Employ project management skills related as required to support project success.

Captures and records Best Known Methods (BKM) for dissemination across business.

Functional Knowledge

Experience leading and supporting complex projects.

Experience in Six Sigma tools and methodologies including DMAIC DFSS Lean/CI.

Possess strong project management skills.

Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.

Drives innovative thinking to develop solutions.

Leadership

Ability to lead and influence others within a matrix organization.

Supports or leads projects with notable risk and complexity.

Manages project risk and resource requirements.

Effectively coach and mentor champions process owners and Black Belts.

Interpersonal Skills

Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

Adept at observing assessing and helping team members recognize improvement areas.

Develops strong rapport with those they mentor and support.

Ability to influence others to drive results.

Education

Bachelors Degree required (Business/Engineering).

Masters Degree preferred.

Additional Qualifications

Master Black Belt certification required.

U.S. Salary Range:

$112000.00 - $154000.00

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location hire grade job-related knowledge skills experience and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program as applicable.

For all sales roles the posted salary range isthe Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
