Description

As a Tool Changer on our Plastics team you will set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic Plastics Injection machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Install tooling molds and mold inserts connect cooling hoses and cooling circulators set up machine operating panel and robot programs for molding various plastics parts. Monitor meters gauges valves flow ratios temperatures pressures and related controls and guidelines to ensure consistency to production/process specifications. Follow engineering drawings work order information Manufacturing Assembly Procedures SOPs and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process.

Description:

This position is for 3rd shift. The hours are 11:40pm -7:10am Monday through Friday with Overtime opportunities during the week and on weekends. This role requires operating hoists and using basic tools to remove and install steel molds and operating control panels per standard work instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up operate and/or maintain production equipment machines and tools using process documents diagrams and written instructions in support of production goals. Produces set-ups and adjustment holding tolerances to blueprint specification.

  • Collect analyze and report data from production processes requiring basic mathematical and statistical knowledge. Counts sorts labels and packages assembled materials. May disassemble and re-work and test.
  • Encouraged to participate in continuous improvement as appropriate based upon assigned levels.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with operating machines and control panels.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge. Be able to use standard hand tools including torque wrenches.
  • Basic understanding of drawings and work instructions.
  • Able to operate overhead hoists and rigging.
  • Proven ability to effectively solve problems
